The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) of Germany has been founded in 1964. In its worldwide activities it carries out country, regional and sector programmes in the fields of political training and international dialogue on democracy and human rights, good governance and rule of law, civil society development, social market economy as well as freedom of press. KAS has representative offices in 70 countries and supports projects and activities in more than 120 countries.
The “EU-Asia Dialogue” is managed by the KAS regional programme “Political Dialogue with Asia”, located in Singapore. This regional project aims to contribute to the international dialogue on issues of cross-border interest. It focuses on four thematic areas: Political analysis and training of politicians and social actors, Regional Integration, Cooperation between Asia and Europe, Issues of relevance for global arrangements and global governance such as International Security, Climate Change, Energy etc.
