Workshop for Asian Journalists in Strasbourg / France and Brussels / Belgium, 14-19 September, 2014
From 14 to 19 September, 2014, a group of Asian journalists visited Strasbourg and Brussels to hold talks with experts of European institutions. The 10 journalists represented the leading English-language newspapers of their respective countries – China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Policy Dialogue on Climate Diplomacy and Urban Resilience in Yangon / Myanmar
On 4-5 September, 2014, EU-Asia Dialogue and UN-Habitat organized a policy dialogue of the clusters Climate Change Diplomacy and Eco-Cities in Yangon / Myanmar. The conference “Euro-Asia Dialogue on Climate Diplomacy and Urban Resilience” was attended by 97 participants. Keynote speaker was Dr. Nay Htun, former Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations, and welcome remarks were delivered by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs U Thant Kyaw and Deputy Minister of Environmental Conservation and Forestry, Dr. Daw Thet Thet Zin.

Policy Panel on Food Security in Brussels / Belgium
On 18 June, 2014, EU-Asia Dialogue held a policy panel of the cluster Food Security in Brussels / Belgium. The discussion “The Water-Energy-Food Nexus –Addressing the Resource Challenge in Europe and Asia” was attended by 41 participants.

Policy Conference on Maritime Security in Beijing / PR China
On 12 May, 2014, EU-Asia Dialogue and the the Center for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea at the Institute of International Law of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences organized a policy conference of the cluster Maritime Security and Piracy in Beijing / People’s Republic of China. The conference “Euro-Asian Cooperation on Combating Transnational Organized Crimes by Sea” was attended by 55 participants.

Policy Conference on Food Security in Kathmandu / Nepal

On 20 March, 2014, EU-Asia Dialogue and the Centre for South Asian Studies organized a policy conference on Food Security in Kathmandu / Nepal. The event "Food Security in the Context of Climate Change" was attended by 46 people from Ministries, International Organizations and research institutes.
